The right product for me, the price suited me.

Installed while using Windows 7, with only the driver being installed from the disk itself. The provided disk has already been formatted to work with Windows 8-10. If you need to use the access point mode in Windows XP or 7, you will need to download a utility from the office website. This utility will also contain drivers, and you will be required to install them on top of the drivers that are already present on your computer. The tool gives you the ability to manage the adapter mode as well as the access point; nevertheless, there are not many connection settings to choose from. I discovered buried deep within the documentation that when WPA with TKIP encryption is used, the N13 speed is forced limited to 45 Mbps; hence, the settings should be selected by anyone who has a low speed. After conducting a number of tests with two different routers (a D-Link 655 and a TrendNet-651), it was determined that connecting through WPS without making any manual adjustments provided the highest level of both stability and speed. despite the fact that increasing it to more than 130 Mbps was not actually an option. Does not become hot and does not cause the connection to become severed.

Pros
  • Simple to put in place
Cons
  • The nearby USB connector is concealed by the large size. The package (version B1) does not come with a USB extension cable any longer.
