. They are a little tricky to install, you have to clean the windows very well - no smearing - I wiped my windows down with the provided microfiber and some rubbing alcohol and it worked fine. Then take a spray bottle and pour water over the window edge to edge before attaching. The less water, the more bubbles appear. In addition, if you change the position of the film frequently, which is inevitable, water leakage can easily occur. I found my windows weren't perfectly square - I rented, so measuring my cut film and being accurate and then taking it to my imperfect window wasn't the best practice. The best thing for me was to cut it a bit more on one side, remove the protective film, spray and glue the window, align with a corner and smooth out any air bubbles. Then, on the edge that overlaps the window frame, I take my smoothing tool, aka an old credit card, and use it to press my utility knife against the window frame while I trim the edge. This worked for me, but I think if you're not already familiar with a utility knife, it might be more difficult. I've had to peel, spray and smooth some of the film around the edges since installing it last week but other than that it does what I need it for so I'm relatively happy.
