Great needles and the right thread for tough jobs

I bought these to attach the net to a beekeeping suit (3 strand net) - a carpet needle was perfect for this and the thread is thick enough that I can could feel it would withstand rough use. Looking at other needles, I think they will come in handy for repairing unusual items.
