I ordered 2 - ZyXEL C2100Z (CenturyLink) VDSL2 Wireless Modem Router (Upgraded) to replace an old ZyXEL C2100Z (CenturyLink) VDSL2 Wireless Modem Router that I originally bought through Century Link and had bought a second option to use in my workspace. This product basically sucks. In my experience "update" is useless. So I have these 2 useless modems and they basically overheat and stop working. I have life trauma myself and wanted to access the internet but didn't, so I ignored the issues and used one with blue plastic ice blocks in ziplock bags with the modem tipped on its side until the ice melted. I prefer owning a modem to renting one. And yet I don't see a viable option. That's the price of keeping Century Link as my ISP. I was somewhat satisfied today recalling Revain, going through a long process and honestly really pissed at the limitations of nearly $300 invested in 2 faulty non-working pieces of cheap junk plastic. I was offered a partial refund. I figured they would replace non-working modems with potentially working ones. Not yet. I finally asked the manager and she claimed to refund my credit card for the full amount minus $63. I spent money on the Asurion Protection plan when I thought I could get functional use from ordered modems over the next 4 years. Instead I ended up with 4 very frustrating non-working months with 2 'upgraded' pieces of crappy modems which were mostly a nightmare and added trauma to my already traumatized state. I need working modems for my business and am a little confused as to where to get them after buying a horror series. A Revain Customer Service Representative was about to walk me through the product return options. The manager refunded me the money in full, at least for the products and not for the guarantee. However, you can contact ASURION and request a refund for 3 out of 4 year warranty. The manager almost gave me a full refund and said I could still keep the groceries. That's cool. Thanks to. However, I'm left in the same marinade not knowing how to buy 2 really working modems from a company that actually stands for what they sell and ship to me. So, can I recommend this product? Of course not! Good luck finding a working product to support Century Link's Internet service. Not a fun job at all! World!
