I bought size 11 men's clothing for my son. I have size 7 men's shoes and tried them on just to see how they felt and my foot was wider than the sole. The edges of my soles were on the sides of my shoes. As the sides are very textured it was uncomfortable and caused terrible blisters if you walked like this for any distance. I don't have wide feet.
