Review on UnderCover SwingCase Truck Bed Storage Box SC206D for 2019-2020 Ford Ranger - Driver's Side by Matthew Evans

The swing bag is quite a nifty idea and I like what it's designed for. However, the installation should have gone much more smoothly than it did for me. Firstly, when I went to install the hinge mount, one of the screw holes did not match. It was about 1/16 inch off, which isn't much, but just enough that I couldn't get the screw in without drilling a small hole (which I didn't have to do on a brand new product made specifically for mine Application). Then I realized that the latch mount doesn't have an accessory in the kit as it's supposed to use the factory mounting points. What the makers of this box didn't realize was that the 2020 Rangers no longer had zip ties down the middle of the bed, so I had to either buy the screws or throw away one of my other zip ties. Then when everything was fully assembled I set the crate on the hinges and the bracket attached to the crate scratches the part protruding from the latch bracket to install the lock. This caused the paint to scrape off where they touched, causing the case not to swing very easily (kind of ironic for a product called the SwingCase). Finally, the lock that comes with it, to prevent someone taking the box from its hinges, doesn't fit snugly. It probably does what it's designed to do, but that doesn't give me confidence in how many games it has. Overall I would not recommend this product. I'm pretty sure I just got the one that slipped past quality control, but hey, first impressions are everything and these guys ruined it all.
