Review on Culligan D250A D 250A Cartridge Set by Jennifer Dammann

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works as advertised, some myths debunked

Hello! I have already ordered them from Revain and have been happy with my purchases. I spoke to tech support about some comments in the reviews and here are my comments: 1. According to the product D250A, Amazon.A filters more (MTBE, VOCs, etc.). Overall for me choose 250A2. Product supplied by Revain is marked Culligan and numbered D250A, no lures or switches as I ordered these3. This filter consists of two parts, together they are not NSF certified, but one of these when purchased separately will be marked D40A. I forgot which of these two specified supports is certified. That makes sense to me. The bottom line is that it filters what I want, regardless of whether it's certified or not. In this case, the legality is that since the filters are bundled, they are not NSF.4 certified together. I can offer, buy with confidence! I hope this helps people who are concerned they are not getting the product they pay for. Update, April 14, 2013: My confidence is wavering. I'm more convinced that something has changed about these filters after spending more time getting to know them. I don't think it's Revane's fault. As one reviewer reported, the packaging has changed enough that I personally noticed that these filters don't work as well when I first bought this filtration system. I was looking for a replacement for my block anyway because my block body is over 10 years old and I read somewhere that the body should be replaced after 10 years (probably because it's plastic and that has its lifespan). I could try buying these filters separately (d40) as mentioned in another review and see if that makes a difference, but I'm surprised Culligan doesn't make a replacement model anymore.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Mostly good but...
