My son only sleeps well in Mumbelli for the first 4 weeks (compared to Halo, Snuggle, Rock 'n' Play and Pack 'n' Play with a cot). I say "decent" because I know newborns don't sleep well anywhere - at least not here. By week 4 we were getting at least one 4 hour stretch a night. One thing I don't like is that I wish it was longer. When I bought it I thought the velcro closure making it snug like a uterus was a great feature but my friend would often stretch his legs over it so we took it off. Before that though, it has a great place to store burp clothes, binky, remote control and even my cup of water if I use it on the couch during the day. I have noticed, that when his head touches the crown of his head, his hair will be erased! This probably applies to everything related to his head, not just the fabric of this product but more importantly the design. However, the high walls really made me feel like he was safe sleeping with us. We also have a cosleeper to snuggle with and it made me nervous in bed as I felt my husband could easily cover him with our blankets in case of an accident (my boyfriend didn't like it either). We used it as a cosleeper between my husband and I in our king bed. I don't think a smaller bed would be ideal, but that's just for us. The cover is removable and washable. I discovered that I had trouble installing right after, but that didn't affect my usage. I've never had a problem with my son getting his face punched in the side or anything like that. I slept well knowing he was safe in his Mumbelli. An extra note for desperate parents and even parents-to-be: we did the Take Cara Babies Newborn course and it really helped us get those longer sleep periods at 3 weeks. There's not much you can do until then, so hang in there. Getting better!
