I bought this ink to use with Freeze paper templates cut with my Silhouette cameo cutter. I used it to make my son's first birthday shirt, white on navy blue. The white stayed bright and strong with just one coat! Very happy with the consistency and look of this ink on my dark shirt! I used a sponge brush to apply the ink with a stencil. At times it felt like I was using a lot of ink, but that's most likely because the sponge soaked it all up. Also, I wanted the whites to be nice and heavy, so I didn't skimp. I should mention that I also bought black ink and it was actually the first of the two I used. I'm pretty sure I read reviews that said gloves should be used, but I forgot. The seal under the lid was very difficult to remove, even with the tongue provided. My thumb and fingers were covered in ink after tearing the seal off the container. Being black, it was easy to see the ink wherever it landed on my body and countertops. I wasn't too happy with my end result with the black paint project I did either, but it was almost certainly my fault because I was afraid of using too much, so I probably didn't apply thick enough. I also used a cheap boys white t-shirt that stretched and tore badly before I had a chance to pin it down. I used white ink gloves and the seal on the white ink container came loose along with the tab as expected. My experience was great! But it made me curious. I've done screenprinting a few times (took a college course in a graphic design program) and I think using a stencil instead of freezer paper would be a more economical use of that ink. It worked great for this project and possibly others I'll do in the future, but left me craving the screen printing method and experience. In fact, I have reviewed the screens and other products available through Speedball and could be convinced shifting my focus to using screens instead of freezer paper.
