There are very few external speakers on the market that can be placed on top of your computer. I found them and bought them despite some negative reviews but heck they were only $15 and I could have returned them if they didn't get the sound to the quality I wanted. So I ordered them and was so pleasantly surprised that the volume is so powerful. I had to turn my computer volume down to LESS than half because they are so powerful. I don't know how they will work with music as I only listen to talk shows and movie streaming. The volume of many movies is very low, even if you turn your computer to the highest level. This device does a great job of boosting volume and I am very happy with it. One thing you need to know, however, is that they will not fit on a computer monitor as thin as 3/8 inch. With a thicker 7/8 inch monitor, however, the clips snap in well. I highly recommend this product for quality and price!
