I bought this mainly because of all this Covid. On the other hand, the inserted filter presses firmly against the face and covers the nose and chin with a perfect fit. So, as a filter, it works exactly as it should. For Covid purposes it has 2 vents which are not very socially conscious. I ended up sealing them both with plastic wrap. But the real problem is that my neck hurts for some reason. No headaches as it somehow magically keeps the CO2 out barring 02 or Covid particles as some anti-maskers might imagine. It's all about the fit and the pressure it puts on the head and neck. I bought this because I already had another version of this that uses the same filters and it was also giving me neck pain. I was hoping this would help fix it, but it didn't. I don't know how well this works for allergies, dust or smog as I haven't tried it in those conditions, but if the filters you can buy work against them then it works well, at least with the Filter Against sealant your face, so that should be pretty good.
