These stretchy jeans have a slim fit and are normal sized. Level 2 protectors on the knees and hips provide a level of protection not found in regular jeans. The care instructions recommend dry cleaning, but I still throw them in the washer and dryer because I'm a rebel. After a few washes they hold up great. Mesh panels on the inner thighs and legs allow for good airflow, but for that reason the waterproofing issue is unusual. When it rains, you will get wet in these pants, especially in the crotch area. But hey, they're made for warm-weather rides, and when you're out, they're cool and comfortable. I would wear these jeans to a bar or restaurant without knee pads, but I don't claim to be a trendsetter. Good price, I am satisfied with this purchase
