This is a well trimmed dog hair. It's soft, keeps my dog warm (although she hasn't been outside for a long time). The water repellency is great as it doesn't like to get wet. She has a "difficult to mount" size, tall but short body (English Bulldog). Her chest is 31 inches and the length from neck to tail is 20 inches. As I said, I first bought XXL for a chest circumference of 29.5-35.4 inches and XL for a chest circumference of up to 29 inches. XXL was too big. I sent it back and bought XL. Size XL fits her perfectly as you can see in the pictures. Size XL is 20 inches across the body of the coat, each velcro is 8 inches long, it measures 20 inches from the neck to the bottom hem. The neck length is 4 inches. Thanks to the long length of the Velcro straps there is a lot of flexibility when choosing the size. The velcro is very sticky and will definitely stay in place, just a few inches overlap the velcro and you're done. You don't have to overlap the whole piece! I think it will work for a dog even a few inches taller than my dog. I am very satisfied with this product and can only recommend it! Just be careful with the sizes! When I compared the XL and XXL sizes, XXL was 3 inches longer in width and length and the middle straps were 1.5 inches apart, so the total difference was also 3 inches.
