Bought these to play - the headphones sound pretty good despite being cheap and can tell where the sound is coming from pretty easily (very useful in Hunt: Showdown if you like play it). The controls are easy enough to understand and use, and I had no trouble using them on Xbox One and PS4. I can't comment on the battery life as I kept the headphones plugged into each console the entire time I was using them. Fortunately, if you already have a charging cable for your controller on both systems, the headphone jack is the same. My only complaint is that they hurt my ears a bit after wearing them for about 3 hours, but I also have big ears so your mileage may vary in that regard. Overall, the first impression is excellent.
