When I first started researching digital thermometers, I looked at the popular brands and found them a bit pricey. I then discovered this while searching here on Revain and given the sheer volume of reviews with almost 80% 5 star ratings I figured it wouldn't pose much of a risk for the price. There were times when I was preparing a roast the day it arrived so I had to use it as soon as I got it. The first thing that caught my attention was that the probe turned on as soon as I exposed it. There is no switch. Love it. It's also very responsive, providing accurate readings within seconds. This is absolutely amazing because it means I don't lose a lot of heat when taking the temperature of something on my grill. It is important to avoid temperature fluctuations and at the speed at which this thermometer reads I can be assured of maintaining an even heat. After all, it's not a cheap thing. Despite having a plastic body, there's nothing inside that screams "cheap". In addition to good documentation and a handy temperature chart, GDealer includes a spare battery! So what's not to like about that? NOTHING!
