Looks good but painful installation and poor instructions

I used these on my 2019 F350. I love this product but I think it's missing some details and I need much better instructions. The frame under the passenger door had some connectors for the ground and puddle lights on my truck, and I bought speaker connectors to tap into the (white) puddle lights. This worked great for white lights. I inserted the strips into the power footpeg between the loops in the rear gap. It's about half an inch too long for this one. This meant I didn't have to use tape to attach them. I also have an Opt-7 tailgate light bar that I attached to the taillights (so I don't get messages to the trailer) so I attached the turn signal and slider. headlights. This worked great for chasers. If you have BLIS lights it's pin 3 on the nav light and stop/turn is pin 2. I've had a few issues with stop/turn. First, the truck kept shorting out its headlights. The tailgate lightbar alone didn't do this, but both briefly shorted to stop/turn when I opened one of the doors. Second, when you apply the brakes they engage, which I don't want. This is because stop/turn is a wire. They figured out how to fix that in the light bar but unfortunately didn't apply that knowledge to this product. I ended up having to add 3 relays to isolate the power supply for the left, right and chase lights. I tried diodes first, but they still short out, probably because the computer thinks it's drawing too much current. If I were starting from scratch I would run them all under the dash instead of under the taillights, but I already had the wiring. I connected a relay to the upfitter switch so I can turn everything off at will and just go to the default lighting. To make it work as advertised on the F350, an additional $85 was spent on parts. I'm pretty sure based on my F150 which also had BLIS and LEDs they are the same. To solve the brake light problem I had to add a 2 to 3 wire converter. They are available but not powered so you need relays as well. This is really going to be a problem, especially at night unless you place them where you can see them directly, and if you've got your chases on anyway, you might not notice particularly indirect lighting if I have them installed, but i am a perfectionist. Since I've tried several different ways and connected all the wires in a split bundle, I had to connect power and ground for the relay etc at the back. Installation took over 5 hours. Suppliers provide truck schematics with colors and wiring instructions. Of course, they don't make turn signals, but they do provide guidance on where wires are located and what colors to use. You can use some guidelines other than the wire colors for the strip itself. At least disclosed additional details are required so that they do not rotate with the brakes. I don't know of any pickups sold in the US that could use them with special turn signal wiring, other than the older versions of the Mazda B-Series pickups It's about $85 just for the parts.
