I bought these to attach turn signals to outside mirror housings on a 2005 Toyota 4Runner. The viewing angle is fairly wide and they're fairly bright, making them an attractive option. Installing the lamp was relatively easy, drill a 3/4" hole, insert a grommet, and then push the lamp body into the grommet until it snaps into place. They look very attractive on the mirror housing and work just as well as most factory installed turn signals. They are difficult to see in direct sunlight, but are easy to see on the shaded side of the car and are excellent at night. This is consistent with the characteristics of the factory turn signals that I have observed. Installing the rest of the turn signal wiring was fairly trivial, although I followed the steps to remove the mirror housing to route the wiring to the factory route and add connectors. This was similar to the instructions you would use when setting up Muth signal mirrors. Actually, I used this guide as a reference. Bottom line, I have turn signals in mirrors for about 1/10th the price of Muth signal mirrors and I like their performance better.
