Review on Large White Wolverine Steel Cotton by John Banks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Give famous brand socks competition for your money!

I took the risk of buying these socks without ever buying them. I checked the reviews of every other possible 4.5 star boot socks but the price of these socks was always more than I was willing to pay. I ordered 6 pairs of these socks for less than what some sellers charged for 2 pairs. branded. They arrived today and went straight into the washer and dryer. I wear shoe size 10.5 and am 1.77 m tall. The foot part of these socks fit my foot perfectly and the extra rib/stretch upper and arch provide a snug fit without being overly constricting. The insole is very thick and soft and I'm looking forward to putting the boots on to see how the boot and sock combo work together. "Stayed" all day but never reported how big they were. At 5ft 9in, the top of these socks completely covers my calves, ending just below the squat area. When I sit, the upper edge of the sock doesn't cause any problems with the back of my calf due to the natural position of the knees. The elastic in the "shank" of the sock is enough to hold the sock up and completely over it. Calf, but is not limiting at all. Only time will tell how much "wear and tear" will go, but I'll update the information after it passes the test. Right now I'm planning on ordering a few more pairs so I have enough pairs to last all week and have a spare or two for laundry day. Update: 02/23/16: After washing and wearing the socks several times, the socks are still holding up great. I've noticed that the elasticated cuffs are losing some of their elasticity, but in the time I've had them they're still a great pair of socks at a bargain price compared to the price.
