really wanted such headlights. The shape of the bulb is unique. The wire is very flexible and the built in cable clips are awesome. The control box was easy to use and includes a 4/8 hour timer, power and mode buttons. modes allow you to change the colors of the bulbs; Solid colors, rainbow patterns, blink/hunt, and a few "holiday" patterns (e.g. red/white/blue). At first glance, everything about these lights screams "buy me”; However, we found them quite dark. We placed them around the pop up tent and the 24ft version made it around three sides. In plain white, we still couldn't sit at the picnic table and read the symbols from the deck of cards because of the dim light. At around $50 they are overpriced for decorative lighting. If the price were halved or the light was three times brighter, I could give a clear recommendation; but for now I would look elsewhere for a more favorable mood or brighter lighting.
