I just received my VMAI soundbar with subwoofer and was able to install it in front of my TV in less than 10 minutes. I used an optical cable, although I've heard that the HDMI (Arc) connection is better, but this connection seems to take longer and it may just be a matter of the settings in my Samsung 50. A better word, and it is It's about 2.5 inches tall, which is great because it doesn't get in the way of the TV's remote control sensors. The sound is really good and what's great is that the remote has bass and treble + buttons so you have a lot more control over your sound and it has 4 presets that you can use to change the sound for music, Movies, news and even 3D sound can be adjusted quickly. The problem that struck me right away is the size of the remote is a bit small in your hand and you almost have to use both hands, one to hold the remote and the other to press the buttons, but once you get comfortable with the settings all you have to do is control volume and mute with one finger. I bought another soundbar from VMAI without a subwoofer and it just didn't have the bass I was looking for so I returned it and bought this soundbar and I'm very glad I went with my gut feeling and the great reviews for this soundbar have decided. This is DEFINITELY a KEEPER and makes a great Christmas gift for less than $135.00. The ultimate test is watching a good, action-packed movie to see if this soundbar performs as it's supposed to. Editor: I saw a good film. through the soundbar and it was amazing how i can hear the sounds of a helicopter flying from one end of the speakers to the other and the same. Movies are now a pleasure to listen to. The best setting for watching movies is the 3D setting, after which you get cool separation through the speakers. I am completely satisfied with this soundbar and woofer and have recommended it to my friends and family who were amazed when they heard this system. Hope this review helps someone!
