I bought this 4 inch magnetic square for my new Dewalt DWE7491 table saw to check that the blade was at a 90 degree angle to the table. Unfortunately, Dewalt doesn't believe in cast iron or even steel table saw blades. I can still test the blade for accuracy, the square just has nothing to stick to. The square itself has very strong magnets. The surfaces are very flat, true and square. The base is wide and has some weight to keep it from tipping over easily on a non-metallic surface. The blade has an inch scale on the outside for measuring height and a scale on the inside for pegboards. (Metric on the opposite page.) Both are very accurate. The only problem I see is that they truncated the blade at an odd size, 4 7/32 inches? It really won't hurt the 4 inch scale, it's just weird. I will be using this square in many places where magnets will work, like my circular saw and drill press.
