Why didn't they think of this years ago? I've struggled to carry my shallow, wide plastic laundry basket up and down stairs for years. The thing drives me crazy: I bump it on every doorway I go through and it's heavy. I saw this narrow, tall hamper and thought it might be better. I can't believe how much easier it makes wash day for me. First, the new hamper is lightweight: I can carry it around with one hand. Second, it fits better in my closet, taking up less of the valuable floor space. Third, because it's taller and narrow, you can easily carry it through doorways and narrow stairways without bumping it. Plus, it's incredibly sturdy for something so light weight. It even seems to hold more laundry than those plastic old-fashioned hampers. I'm so pleased I'm ordering another one today!
