Our house has a small corridor leading from the garage to the main house and we wanted somewhere to sort mail and store keys and other things, maybe a coat. You know the things you need to take with you when you leave the house and put them back when you come home. It's a bit small, but it's perfect for that. We have a 4ft hallway/dirty room that fits and leaves room for a paper shredder. Now let's call this room "Post Office". It's small - you can't hang long coats on it, but a jacket will fit. Most of the shelves are wire so we have small trays to keep keys from falling on the floor. The top shelf is solid, which makes sorting mail on it practical. It was easy to collect. All the parts are labeled and there is an extra screw for each type in case you drop one and roll it under the fridge because the cat thought it was a toy. The instructions are mostly easy to understand. This will help if you have already assembled furniture. One person can do it alone, but since the details are a bit awkward, it's easier with two people. All the screws went in with no problems. The kit included a small Allen key and a real Phillips screwdriver, although we used an electric screwdriver instead. All holes aligned correctly. I have a screwdriver in my trash drawer. It's pretty strong considering it's so light. You can wiggle the legs up and down a bit if you need to level it, but ours was already level. I like it. We just moved into our house and now at least a four foot section of the hallway is finished. woo hoo!
