These are nice for packing; the thickness is perfect for protecting fragile items like plates or glasses when you are stacking them. I believe that is probably what they are designed to do. I didn't really realize how small 7.5 x 7.5 is in packing terms. These really aren't big enough to wrap around much of anything unless it's something really, really small. I cannot complain or take off a star because I didn't really understand what I was ordering. However, I bet I'm not the only one who is going to make this mistake. So, if you are buying these to put between plates before you pack them, they are great. If you are using it to pack knick-nacks, they are not so great.
