A family member recently became bedridden (minimally vegetative) and I was assigned to home care for the sick in nursing homes and hospitals in our area due to widespread outbreaks. A tracheostomy device was required for additional oxygen supply while maintaining autonomic function (natural breathing, swallowing, coughing), and the restricted freedom of movement made oral cavity care difficult. inevitable c. albicans (thrush) I had to resort to using an electric toothbrush with diluted toothpaste and a fluoride rinse for oral care, which resulted in bleeding gums. I saw hospital staff using these dental suction pads during an ICU observation and thought I might need a prescription to purchase them like many other medical items, but to my surprise I found them here at Revain and they do make me busy and breaking days so much easier. In summary: - The swab's foam tip provides enough cushioning to prevent rubbing against sensitive oral tissue - There are two suction holes on each side for liquid/secretion suction - Suction is strong and keeps the mouth free of secretions/debris - the handle / Shaft is angled for easy access to upper, lower and side of mouth and behind teeth - Swabs fit standard suction tubes used in homes and hospitals around the world - Peroxide solution is strong enough to clean/sanitize mouth , but gentle enough to use twice a day - each pack contains 2 toothbrushes: one I use for cleaning/scraping and the other for rinsing/absorbing debris for a completely clean mouth - the tip of the foam has enough texture with ridges, to gently cleanse the entire tongue of annoying yeasts, e.g. albicans or other plaque on the teeth and tongue - facilitates cleaning after vomiting while restoring pH with a swab treated with sodium bicarbonate and peroxide solution - this should be done immediately after vomiting to reduce/prevent tooth decay - restores fresh breath back! I can't recommend anything better having used this system and I find that using it daily in a maintenance regimen contributes to overall health. I see an improvement in the general condition of the gastrointestinal tract, and a clean mouth also improves the condition of the respiratory tract. If you're caring for your loved one at home, stock up on them and save more with a monthly subscription - it makes life easier for the patient and caregiver! Update 11/08/2021: I have an auto-delivery item (100 carats / $93.99), but when I checked the upcoming order for this month, the quantity was reduced to 50 carats / $93.99 - same price. Very shady! Sold by Healing Easier, not Sage. There is no explanation for this.
