I am so happy with these for my phone that I have started buying them for a variety of things. The magnet is incredibly strong. I wouldn't hesitate to stick that on the tailgate and go 70 mph just to prove it. Since smooth metal is slippery on smooth metal contact, I was concerned it would be a poor dash mount choice. However, the design uses a rubber friction pad in the center of the disc to keep it in place. Mine didn't move off-road either. This is genius. And the little disc is so invisible I don't even notice it. Bonus: This magnet on the back of my phone turned any surface into a phone mount. I can work with both hands and video chat with my wife and children. Very convenient!
