On airplanes I like to wear headphones instead of headphones. They make it easier to fall asleep. A few months ago I bought TaoTronics active noise canceling headphones. I needed a different kit for my wife so I settled on the Sony MDRXB50AP which has no noise cancellation. With TaoTronics, there is a big difference in background noise, at least during flight, when noise cancellation is activated. Although the Sony doesn't have noise-cancellation, it does a good job of blocking out engine noise - about like the TaoTronics with active noise-cancellation. It has extra bass. I don't want anymore. In general, the sound quality is good. The headphones are quite comfortable, slightly better than the TaoTronics. They don't fall out of your ears that easily. Unfortunately, I bought the headphones for $45, which is more than they cost now. Still, I'm happy with the cost. At today's price you can't go wrong. If I had to buy another set I would buy them, not TaoTronics. I've never listened to expensive headphones, so maybe I don't know what I'm missing. However, when traveling I prefer to use these over the Bose QC-15 headphones.
