Although the shoes were initially comfortable I quickly found that the top strap of the left boot was rubbing against my foot over the foot and the strap of the right boot sat comfortably on the foot without rubbing . my leg. The left strap also rubbed at the bottom of my ankle. I wore them around the house a few times and loosened the strap as much as I could so the shoe wasn't too loose, and yet the strap (the edge of the Velcro) kept banging against my foot. I then examined and compared the shoes and found that the strap on the left boot was sewn too high and at an odd angle, causing the strap to be pushed back into my foot. Nothing could fix this situation. Unfortunately I can't send them back as my husband has already recycled the box. Now I'm stuck with a useless pair of expensive shoes.
