Digital clarity, make sure there are no tall buildings in the way

HDTV antennas have come a long way. In 2005 I bought a Zenith HDTV-UHF digital indoor antenna (discontinued). Now the structures are so compact and flat that you can place them against a wall and they are barely visible. - SIGNAL - You used to have to point the antenna in a very specific direction. This antenna is omnidirectional; You can place it anywhere. - IMAGE QUALITY - I bought the Mohu Leaf 50 because I needed the best range I could get and I wanted a boosted antenna just in case. I live in New York, in an area that doesn't have a lot of tall buildings on my way. About 95% of the time I watch the show it's perfect and crystal clear. The remaining 5% has noise and frame loss; This can be a little annoying when watching your favorite TV shows. But since I don't pay for cable and only watch the main channels in HD, this is a good solution for my needs. CONNECTIONS - This antenna connects to the antenna input on the back of your TV and you can bring up your TV's menu to scan for the channels it can receive. Channels ending in "-1" are HD channels, ie 4-1 is NBC, 6-1 is ABC (personally I like all HD channels and only watch them). The same cable can be amplified with a USB cable that can be plugged into a TV or wall outlet. There's also an optional stand that you can buy from the Mohu website if you'd rather have it on your desk - SUMMARY - This is a great HDTV antenna. I haven't come across one that provides a consistently error free signal, but that's almost impossible as many factors like weather can affect the signal. This is completely sufficient for a free-to-air HD transmission of the main channels. highlighted.
