Now good value for money

These bulbs are part of my photo sensor security lights that I have installed in the two back corners of my house. These bulbs produce quite a bit of light and only use 70 watts per bulb. LED lighting would probably be more efficient and therefore more economical in the long run, but I don't want to replace lights until the ballast fails. You will inevitably fail. Until then I will continue to use high pressure sodium lamps. Home Depot charges significantly more for the same HPS lamp wattage.
