This is my first windshield repair so I put 2 in instead of 1 so I don't know what I'm doing. The instructions were useless, so I gave general instructions on these matters. It was under direct summer sun for the required time. I had someone press the inside to open them while I filled them, covered with cling film, let them sit, peeled off the cling film and trimmed as needed. As you can see in the picture, it filled in the center just enough for my finger to run across it without feeling any bumps etc. Maybe it filled out everything else; maybe not, but it doesn't look like I did anything. I guess I'll just wait until the windshield is so badly damaged that I need to replace it.
