Review on HyperX Cloud MIX - Wired Gaming Headset + Bluetooth, Game and Go, Detachable Microphone, Signature HyperX Comfort, Lightweight, Multi-platform Compatibility - Black by Payton Stovall

I really wanted you to like it.

I have the HyperX Cloud II and Cloud Flight headsets and they are fantastic. I bought the Cloud Mix because I needed a Bluetooth connection, specifically for use with my Nvidia Shield. When watching TV or movies, the headset will slow down significantly over time. I adjusted the audio delay in the android box settings to compensate for the delay but no matter what I tried the audio delay just came back causing the video/audio to be out of sync. I have another Amazon v4.2 Bluetooth headset for working out and I get no lag when syncing with my Shield TV or other Bluetooth device. I can connect the dongle for my HyperX Cloud Flight to my Shield and have no latency - they work outside of RF of course. I bought the Cloud Mix just to be able to use my headphones without having to plug and unplug the Cloud Flight USB dongle, but it looks like Kingston made a mistake in the design of the Cloud Mix. - If I have a pair of $40 Chinese-made Bluetooth headphones and they don't have an issue, I think Kingston needs to seriously look at their R&D and parts suppliers before attempting to sell them for $130-$200 for sale. - upset.

Pros
  • HyperX comfort and durability
Cons
  • disappear
