Installation on the Canyon was easy. After buttoning everything up, I went to install the shackle. It's just a regular WARN bracket, nothing special. I found out that the Canyon has a "hole" in the bumper that the cotter pin can't go through. Yes, I've tried both directions and every other combination. I called Rough Country support and they consulted with their R&D team who advised you to detach the brace from the frame to install the brace and then bolt it to the frame. It's not very useful if you're in a situation where you really need your brace. I can't imagine unscrewing the bolts from the frame, adding a rescue line and bolting it to the frame. Then loosen the bolts back from the frame to remove the cable. Imagine doing this while stuck in the mud or snow! You can see the email exchange is from Rough Country and they stated the same.
