For the most part this battery tester is well made with thick leads (although it could be longer), strong battery clips and a sturdy steel body. However, the voltmeter failed after only 5 or 6 uses, which is perfectly compatible with the 1-year warranty. The counter will read zero with a known good battery or a different battery. I opened the case and checked for the presence of 12V on the meter terminals. The counter is cheaply made in a sealed plastic case and not as well made as the rest of the device. This is amazing because it is a BOSCH product so I was expecting better and the voltmeter is the most important and important component of the product in my opinion. If you need to make a return, you need to contact BOSCH and create a separate account there. I will let you know how long it will take to get a replacement and if there are other issues with the process and this product.
