It's hard to find bath mats these days without that horrible rubber backing that will tear, peel, mold and not wash (or they'll fall apart in the washing machine). We have been using one of these bamboo rugs for years, which is more hygienic but not as comfortable to step on bamboo steps. When the bars started to loosen my husband insisted we get a rug like rug but I absolutely didn't want it to get ugly. These rugs are just the thing to keep us both happy. They are thick and absorbent enough to keep the floor dry and softer on your feet than the bamboo mats we use. Most importantly, they can be kept clean and hygienic. Since these rugs have no backing, they can simply be washed every week along with the rest of the towels. Because they're basically like a thick towel and don't have a backing that will wrinkle or tear when you hang them on a towel rail or shower curtain rail, they're also easy to hang to dry after each use. I love her!
