Now this sandpaper gets some serious grit! I do a lot at home and in shops with wooden pallets. Because of the possibility of the nails breaking into pieces, I can't put them through my plane because, as I often told my sister, "a sanding belt costs less than a plane knife". When I opened this box of sandpaper, the sanding surface was much better than the Makita discs I've used before and a thousand times better than the cheap pack I bought when I ran out of Makita discs. I will say that this may be the first time I've used real sandpaper! I decided to try 100 grit sandpaper to clean some of the 4x4s I had and was amazed at how quickly it removed the top layer of dirt. I will be buying this brand from now on and can't wait to try the larger grains!
