Review on Protect and Transport Your Garmin eTrex with this Durable Carrying Case by Andre Belitz

Great little case for the eTrax Vista HCx

I've noticed a few negative reviews on this case which have focused on the issue that the case is obviously too deep for the Vista causing it to some of these overlap the controls on the GPS itself, making it difficult to use the device in a suitcase. I have to say that either this mentioned issue has been fixed or the reviewers have commented on the wrong case. The Vista HCx eTrax I bought is perfect for this. I really like the D-ring on the back of the case. This allows you to attach the GPS to a gear loop on your backpack or other convenient location. I would give this case 5 stars if I didn't really trust the strap hook attached to the case. This hasn't happened to me yet, but I'm concerned that the GPS could slip off my belt unnoticed and get lost if the securing means aren't used to attach it. In general, the design of the case makes a reliable impression. The case should provide reasonable protection for the eTrax unless it is abused and hit beyond what would be expected in normal use which does not include throwing it around and bringing a dog in or dunking it in a river, to see how many times you can do it before it fails. you have the idea In any case, a great product. Costs money.
