Review on Yokohama Ice Guard IG50 215/50 R17 99Q winter by Janis Endzelins ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

I bought winter tires Yokohama Ice Guard IG50 Plus 205/55 R16 91Q a complete set on the advice of a friend, he has the IG30 model. The rubber is visually very good, soft, the sipes open well, somewhat similar to the Dunlop DS3 Graspic, which I had 5 winters and 1 summer and already needed to be replaced. In the evening, without waiting for the first snow, I went to change shoes. I have experience driving Yokohame, I stood on my right-hand drive Mazda, I don’t remember the size completely, but R14, I changed it when already in the spring of 2022 the cord climbed out, judging by the marks on the rubber, it was already 9 years old, I ran over half the time, the rest is probably Japanese , as he took the car immediately upon arrival in 2022.

Pros
  • there hasn’t been much winter yet, but the snow that fell and then melted created a small sleet on the roads, with which the rubber did an excellent job. Grip and handling on slippery surfaces is very good, with no skids or slips.
Cons
  • not yet discovered
