This item is very poorly designed Reasons: 1. Comes with a plastic ring instead of a rubber band. The plastic ring is sealed in the fabric. To resize the cover or remove the ring, you need to cut the fabric. But that causes such a mess in the linen because the fabric unwinds (it's a knit weave).2. The plastic ring is too small anyway, so it has to be thrown away. What's the point?3. "hole" is too small. With the lid on, the hole doesn't get any bigger than when it's not stretched, so you actually end up with a smaller (quite small) toilet seat. This is problematic for number 2.4. Once the plastic ring comes off and you wash it, the knit fabric doesn't stretch enough for it to stay in place as the fabric pulls on itself and comes loose after a few minutes of sitting. BAD DESIGN! I asked Amazon for a refund/refund and fortunately received it. BAD PRODUCT DESIGN, could it be made in China?! Who comes up with something like that?
