They remove odors very well. We use them in several pairs of shoes and I use them in my car. I have a brand new car and that "new car" smell is all it takes, especially in winter. Too cold to open the windows and air the car, so I couldn't get rid of the toxic plastic smell. Once with a large size in my car and what is the difference. And the fact that they eliminate shoe odor is a game changer. It is almost impossible to find a product that eliminates shoe odor. Highly recommended. If you don't notice that it removes odors, you probably didn't get a good load. Just put them somewhere sunnier and I guarantee you'll see the difference.
