Adjusted properly, initially successful, use a drill if you have unsteady hands

This item is quite neat, it has knurled drill bits that go into the blades sideways than in the holder their 4 set screws you loosen or tighten to loosen or tighten the blades and drill. I have drill bits for each blade but they seem to be universal and my only concern is that they can be replaced. If you don't have a steady hand, it might be better to use a drill press. No matter what wood you are cutting, it needs to be clamped. And not very fat. An example is my second attempt, Pauduk fell a bit sideways on the first. But wood is important. My experience with pauduk tells me that it tends to split. Knowing what I know about the purple heart and what it does with my carving tools and saw blades, I wouldn't recommend it unless it's a super thin piece. And think of the slope of the wood used. The purple heart gets sticky, it's a resinous tree. I have blades that make a ring and button or bead just for clarification. Do it slowly and don't strain your blades or bits.
