The result of the test showed it's not cotton

The package said it was cotton. The About section says Polyester, but the detailed description says Cotton. That is very confusing. So I did a burn test and the result was that it wasn't cotton. Natural materials like cotton or wool would burn to ashes. Polyester or other man-made materials will burn and turn into hard plastic. To test this, all you need is a pile or very fine yarn. However, it's still a good sofa cover as long as you don't worry that it's not a natural material.
