I had no idea Febreeze contained an ingredient that actually eliminates odor until I read the article on how it was discovered. (A guy at the company was experimenting with different chemicals for another product, and his wife asked if he would quit smoking because it no longer smelled like smoke. He blamed the "culprit" in what is now the active ingredient in Febreeze is. .) Only later did they add perfume to the product to help with marketing. But if you're like me, you just want to REMOVE the smell, not ADD perfume. So glad they have this fragrance free formula. I often use it for cat pee accidents and it instantly eliminates odors from fabrics or hard surfaces. This is a lifesaver. PS In a pinch (and cheaper), the "Forest Green" aroma isn't that bad.
