Not frail, also quite big but it sits comfortably on the leg, my son likes to play with it. I wanted to use it where he eats as we have a rug in the dining room (don't ask me why they made it). The rug is too big for this area anyway which would be cooler if this rug could be broken down into several pieces if you need it in a small area. Otherwise, spills are easy to clean up. It catches hair and lint, which I don't care as it's very static, but the foam does. I think and hope that if I run the sheet to dry it will work and hopefully nothing will stick to it. I will keep you informed.
