Not a bad machine. He does what he says. I would design it with a small bar/power button next to the wheel so that it turns on when you place the mouse on it. I can add a spring loaded power switch inside. The sound is also expected as there is a motor inside. When I work on other computers, my main online software shows up and some people don't call. This will prevent the status from changing when I'm sitting right here. Now I get these calls. They make silent calls without a motor, but I didn't want USB discoverable devices, just USB powered. So the mechanical way. I have seen a post where the cable has snapped where it enters the unit. I haven't moved mine since I put it on the table. Maybe that will save you.
