My mother could neither see nor read for a while. She has glaucoma and none of the prescription glasses have worked for her, but these glasses work really well! I ordered two stronger drinks (3.50 and 4.00) which we couldn't find locally. As an older woman, she didn't want to order them because she risked that none would fit her since she couldn't try them on and get the strength she needed. I decided that for such a good price, it was worth the risk to help her see. She is very happy I did it because now she can see and read for the first time in a long time! She keeps both strengths because she's so proud that they both work so well for her. If she reads black text, a Strength of 3.50 works well for her. For lighter color prints, a slightly higher strength (4.00) is best. She was in pain all day, but when she tried on these glasses, she started smiling. This is the best thing a product can do for a person. I would say the quality of the product is average but for the price this is a great deal! She's put a pair in every room that she might need to read and I'll order her a halter to wear a pair around her neck.
