This rug is great for playing with your pet so you don't have to worry about them peeing on your furniture. However, as an eco-friendly alternative to bedding, it sucks. The description says the pad lasts a week before a guinea pig needs to be changed while the solid waste and food is swept up and put away. Everything seemed fine on the first day. I kept it clean and loved the look of the caged pads. After just two days of sweeping and keeping the litter clean, my pet was wet when I picked him up. I found that the entire pad was wet with urine. I disabled it and tried a second pad with the same result. The urine didn't ooze out, but it didn't dry out either, making for very unsanitary conditions, not to mention a smelly environment.
