So for starters I drive a 2015 Vw Jetta, my dog is 25 pounds and I bought the large size. I've added a few photos so you can see how it fits. The first day he didn't seem to like it that much, I had completely loosened the seat belt but all he could do was lie down and he was upset that he didn't look out the window. The second day I tried simply folding the straps in half to make them longer but he still didn't like it. So I tried to just attach the leash to the metal part of the headrest, which seemed to make Toby very happy and got him back on his feet. Now that I look at the photos I realize I really should buckle it up but FYI we were parked when I took the photos! I usually leave the window open unless I'm driving 20-30 mph. As for the quality of the car seat, I have to admit that I was disappointed. The cover is made of a fabric that feels like felt and looks high quality. The pillow looks like an airplane sized pillow and is poorly filled. Instead, I can try to put a thick blanket inside. But actually the biggest problem for me was what was under the felt - it was just a huge block of styrofoam. For $52 I got a styrofoam block and felt sleeve. I think I'll keep it to serve as a model for what I'll probably have to build myself. Sometimes every day I ride my dog and I'm looking for something that will really protect him at an affordable price.
