These shiny silver shoes are gorgeous and this particular style is true to size (I ordered a size up and we have plenty of room to grow). The tread is pretty good for fashion shoes as some fashion shoes can be slippery. The Velcro closure makes it easy to put on and take off. With that in mind, I'm deducting a star for the loops. They look so cute in the product photo, but I personally find them a bit overwhelming and tasteless. The bows also have some snags in the ribbon which (with kids) can obviously look tattered in a jiffy. I can try removing the loops if they look worn, but that may end up spoiling the look of the strap (the loops are sewn on). Overall good shoes.
