This is a great gun for the money, but it keeps turning off when placed on the left side due to the position of the power switch. We ended up just putting it in "High" mode and leaving it on all the time as long as it's plugged in. But still the design is good and releases a lot of hot glue. I would buy it again if this one was lost. Not that it matters much, but the 60-second heat-up time isn't accurate for us. 3-4 minutes is more accurate, but it may be faster with a very low temperature glue. You still won't get more than 3-4 courses of a usable bead without letting it warm up a bit. but that's about 50% better than our 200 watt gun, which you would expect from a 300 watt. I wish someone could build a 600w thermostatic gun that could run a lot of glue but hold the set temperature if left on for a while. I would pay a lot for that!
